Cynthia Flottmann is an interior designer in Tempe, Arizona. She studied interior design and business at Arizona State University. As a designer for the past 8 years, Cynthia has had the pleasure of designing and collaborating on spaces and homes throughout the country.

In her free time, Cynthia enjoys traveling, hiking, entertaining and baking. As a native Arizonan; Cynthia, along with her husband and two children, love to explore the outdoors and get into the Arizona wilderness whenever they can.

“I find great inspiration from my travels near and far”, Cynthia says. ” I love to incorporate touches of those elements into my designs. Your space can have such an impact on your day to day life. Not only does it affect the way you use and function in it, but it can have a direct effect on the way you feel. Those key factors are how I shape my design philosophy, and how I like to approach every project whether large or small. My mission is to create spaces that stand the test of time through great design. The best reward is seeing clients love their homes and live well in them.”

Tracey Crosby
Associate Designer
Tracey Crosby, our associate designer, has 15 years of experience working with domestic and international clientele in residential design and furnishing. Tracey prides herself in creating stylish and functional living spaces, as well as providing top service for her clientele. Tracey and her husband Tony (married 25 years) enjoy cooking, and entertaining for friends and family. Ask any of their kids’ friends, the Crosby house is always the place to go for a meal and a good time. As new empty nesters, they love any chance they get to have the whole family around the dinner table when their three daughters come home to visit. “In my own home, I am always thinking about how to layout the patio so I can host my daughters’ graduation parties, or which couch can fit five family members for a movie night in” Tracey says. “From the big decisions to the smallest final touches, I want to design other people’s homes as spaces for love, friends and family, and always more memories”.
Darla Whipple
Design Assistant
Darla Whipple has been a Design Assistant with Roux Design Studio since 2018. One of her fondest childhood memories is helping her mother in designing, and decorating a custom built home in Rochester Minnesota. Darla moved to Southern California at the age of 11 and lived in Santa Monica though her graduation from high school. The ocean, landscape and colors of Southern California had a large influence on Darla’s aesthetic tastes. Darla moved back to Minnesota after high school and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota. While pursuing her degree she dabbled in buying and selling antiques with her Stepmother. Although design and decorating has always been a love of Darla’s, she decided to pursue a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley College in Cambridge Massachusetts. After teaching for a few years, Darla decided to be a full time domestic engineer when she and her husband started their family. Darla is the proud mother to two smart and capable daughters and is thrilled that she can now model that doing what you love is an important key to life-long happiness. Darla Says “I feel like many of my experiences have led me to my current position as a Design Assistant. It is my true passion and I love to see beautiful designs come to fruition. I’ve decorated and redecorated my homes, and those of my friends, and now it’s a pleasure to help others make their homes feel live their havens.”
